What a piece of pie art that is..can't wait to make it. I usually toss my apples in lemon juice after cutting so they don't turn brown while putting the other ingredients together... can I toss my salt into that juice and skip the "sprinkle on top" step.... OOhhhhh the anticipation.... Sure - toss away. Whatever works for you - that's my #1 rule in baking, don't mess with success. Have fun - PJH
