No canned pumpkin anywhere in sight b/c of all the rain in early summer. Is a pie pumpkin the same as a sugar pumpkin that is mentioned above for creating your own pumpkin puree? Yes, Julie, pie and sugar pumpkins can be used interchangeably. I hope canned pumpkin gets into the market soon - I know it was a terrible year for pumpkins. Maine's crop is down 50%... PJH
