PJ, I want to break into the computer and grab one right out. I have been making black & whites for years. I use a recipe my Mom used to make cupcakes with and I just added a cup more flour. I am going to try your recipe tomorrow. I love it. By the way, my Dad used to say the bakeries used to call these "horses hats", probably in the 1930's. Thanks again for all your good recipes. You sure keep all of us bakers busy. Horse's hats - now there's one I've never heard of, Alvara! BTW, I've heard of Sailor Jacks,but have never been able to fully identify them, nor find a recipe. I think they were some kind of spice muffin from the Seattle area... Have you ever heard of them? PJH
