Hi PJ, I am way behind on this but the no knead challah recipe was suggested to me by someone in the Baking Circle as a good alternative for people who don't have a big, expensive stand mixer. I'm going to master it and add it to my challah class. Do I need to do the first rise out of the refrigerator or can I just put it right from the mixing bowl into the fridge? I really like the braid in in the cake pan. It looks fantastic, is a little different, and is much simpler than a six strand braid! An alternative to the dough bucket or bowl is a turkey baking bag. I spray mine with cooking spray and drop the dough in there. I still like to put that in a bowl and put that in the refrigerator but sometimes the fridge is full so I just put it in the bag. When I'm done with bag for a batch of dough I fold it up and put it in the freezer with my yeast. Thanks! Aaron
