You asked where to find those legendary peaches--and I have an answer. I live in Hattiesburg, MS, in the depths of the deep south. Every Sunday I go to the farm stand towards the edge of town and buy peaches. Incredible peaches. Ripe and soft without being the least bit mealy; you have to eat them standing over the sink, or with a towel on your lap, because they're so juicy. The flesh comes clean off the pit, and I know that because I don't waste a single bite. Thanks for the tip....sounds like a terrific road trip! Irene at KAF
