Is there any particular reason why you didn't do a diagonal cut the opposite direction prior to baking (making them 'mini' before popping into the oven) Cutting the scones after they are baked leaves a tender as well as a crisp side - the better to soak up the glaze! Molly@KAF Yeah, Tera - they got too small and sticky to handle. I tried doing that, but by that time I'd been fussing so long the dough had gotten warm, and making that extra cut, they became misshapen when I picked them up. Much easier to cut after they were baked. PJH
