Okay, I'm off to Kentucky this weekend to visit a friend. Guess what we'll be having Sunday morning... Go on, guess... ;-) For those that can't get over the cheese, just think of it as adding milk that has a bit more flavor and substance to the batter. Now, for the technical question... Did you use another temperature gauge to test the griddle? How do you know the griddle was not calibrated correctly??? Hmmm.... Mike, I just knew from experience that a griddle at 350°F will take about 3 minutes to cook pancakes. And this griddle was set for 350°F, yet the laser reader was off by about 50°F...
