Hi Diane, we're so sorry that this recipe didn't work well for you, and you weren't able to serve it at your Thanksgiving meal! The recipe page for the No-Knead Harvest Bread does call for placing the dough in a "lightly greased pan" in step 5, but with all the mention of various pots and dishes in step 4, I can see why this direction could be confusing. I have found that no-knead recipes like this, where the shaped loaf rises in the baking pan for an extended time, are much more likely to stick. Next time you try this recipe I would recommend lining your baking dish or pot with greased parchment paper before placing the loaf in there to rise. If you crumple up the parchment paper before putting it in the pot, it will mold a bit more easily to the dimensions of your pot. I like to grease the parchment paper because sometimes the loaf can get stuck to that as well!
