These look lovely. My recipe takes finely minced dried apricot and currants. I make up a small batch of English Spice Mix- 1" of cinnamon stick, 1.5 t each whole cloves,ground mace, freshly ground nutmeg, coriander seeds, ground allspice or berries. Grind everything until a smooth powder results. This keeps for a few months and I like to use it up during spring and summer baking, also nice on oatmeal.
