I realize that the lightness and lemoniness of these is a big attraction--but what I have is orange oil, and I am tending toward whole grains where possible. What I'm wondering is whether I could use a whole wheat flour and orange oil; if so, would you change the amount of flour? would the recipe even be worth making :-)? I think it would be really good. You would want to add a bit of extra liquid, maybe 1-2 tablespoons , if you substituted whole wheat flour. I would do a 1:1 substitution. Mary @KAF 100% ww flour will yield a VERY different product; heavier, drier. Not as pictured. Strong tasting. But if you like whole wheat, give it a try- If you have white whole wheat, that might be a little less assertive. PJH
