May I suggest a trick I've used before? Use a piping bag to pipe the meringue on top of the liquid pie, so you won't even have to touch the pie. The only problem is, this method uses more meringue than that of spreading, but while we are at it... GREAT idea. Thanks, next time I'll try that. PJH
