I tried this bread and was very impressed with the texture. Gorgeous! But the taste was kind of blah. I think I like my bread a little sweeter. If I add more sugar will that mess things up?
Yes, you could try increasing the sugar just a bit. Another option is to change the type of sugar you use. Sometimes using an equal amount of either light or dark brown sugar will add just enough background flavor to enhance the sweetness, without increasing the ingredient amount. Experiment, have fun.
