I just made this recipe in my bread machine and the recipe -English Toasting Bread- is in the “Bread Machine Magic”cookbook. One difference is that it
doesn’t call for any butter or oil, otherwise it is the same, but there are several rises. I remove it from the machine after the last rise, remove the paddles, let it rest, shape it and let it rise again then bake it at 400 degrees for 22-25 minutes. And it makes delicious crispy toast. I don't like the holes the paddles make in my baked bread so I only use my bread machine through the dough cycle and don’t bake the bread in the machine, it has also burned my bread .
