i too was wondering if I could use my bread machine but I nixed the idea based on the fact that the dough had to be beaten at high speed, and my dough cycle definitely is not high speed, and it includes a first rise. This recipe only calls for one rise. Did you stop the dough cycle before the first rise, remove, shape, and let the first rise take place in your 8. 1/2 x. 4 1/2 inch pan, or did you complete the first rise in the bread machine and then a second rise in your pan?
