Just discussed my problem with your baker, and the diagnosis was that my butter had gotten too soft; and he advised me as follows: if the dough won't come together, to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and with floured hands to shape the dough into a ball in order to divide. This I will try and post the results, and my thanks to all. OldOne
