I appreciate Mark's comment to keep our bounty in perspective and be so grateful for it. I lived in Africa for a year and the people there have almost nothing. The household women cooks waste nothing, including the peels from their vegetables and corn cobs. I so greatly admire them and guess what, very little obesity. I returned to the US, requiring much less to make myself happy. :-)
