I was wondering if the sourdough recipe in my King Arthur cookbook can be used in loaf pans. I want a softer crust and "sandwich" shaped bread as my kids say. Thanks! I am making the popovers tonight! Absolutely, make it in a loaf pan. For softer bread, replace 2-3 tablespons of the water with vegetable oil or butter. And remember - the popovers won't be as light and airy as regular popovers; theyre more like a muffin. Just managing expectations here! - PJH
