I hate to be a spoilsport, but just for the sake of clarity - do the butter and milk cancel out the benefits of the chocolate? You say in the blog that milk neutralizes the antioxidant's qualities. Not a spoilsport, Ellie - just a realist, and I thank you for that. It's murky whether cooking the milk (as the muffins bake) disables its ability to interfere with antioxidants; I was unable to figure that one out in my research. So I decided to be "glass half full" and hope it's true... If it's not true, well, they still taste great, and the whole wheat is a plus. And you could substitute soy milk or rice milk easily. - PJH
