Yes I also am grateful for how detailed the NYT is. It’s interesting that some people call excellence “pretention.” I think it’s great that people go to great lengths to research things like choco chip cookies so I don’t have to! And it’s ironic that someone who bakes for KAF would take this approach because honestly I like KAF because it goes above and beyond—I think some people would consider KAF just as “pretentious” as the NYT. Anyhow, regardless of the authors intent it does come across as an ironically and unjustifiably critical take on NYT. I’m grateful they and KAF both take it to the next level.
