I, too, appreciate the "buy vs. bake" comparison. Most ovens nowadays are of the self-cleaning type, so they are better insulated and therefore not really all THAT expensive to operate (even at today's rates). Plus, the more often you are in a store, the more likely you are to impulse buy, too. Not good. That can ruin a budget. Besides, even the poorest of freshly made baked goods usually exceeds the best of the supermarket items. Right on, Glenn - well said, and thank you (as always). -PJH
