Funny - I was just thinking about apple pies, but actually here in Virginia we ought to start getting some very nice early peaches (I think they're called Redhaven) within a couple of weeks - if the storms didn't blow all the peaches into Maryland! And my husband reminisces every year about his favorite white peach, the Georgia Belles, which are impossible to find anymore. You're lucky to have peaches up there. I have yet to see a single peach here in the stores. A couple more months till it's time for my favorite apple pie made with Ginger Golds... PJ
