Me again, thanks for the link to Modern Baking. I notice the original recipe calls for malt but you didn't include this in the home recipe. Did you try it and not like it or was it that a mistake? Just wondering. I thought it tasted great without sweetener but always willing to try otherwise. Lee Lee, I was just assuming most people don't have malt. It's there to help the yeast grow, but isn't a critical ingredient, so rather than frustrate people, I left it out. Add it back if you like- PJH
