We're sorry to hear it didn't work out well, Diane. We encourage you to try again doing a single batch (some recipes just don't want to be doubled) and we want to make sure there's no extra flour getting into the dough, which happens a lot. To ensure you're using the right amount, we recommend checking out the "Measuring Standards," link next to the ingredients header above. You'll see that either measuring your flour by weight using a scale, or fluffing and sprinkling the flour into your measuring cup are the most accurate ways to measure flour.
