Hi Jen, for this particular bread it may be wise to use the brotform liner we sell, which also machine washes easily (unlike the type of liners described in this blog post). This will help prevent your brotform from getting too sticky. If you're worried that you still might get some syrupy seepage, you might even want to use two liners. You can also use a tea towel to line your brotform when making this type of bread. I still wouldn't recommend washing the brotform; a firm brushing out once the basket is cool should suffice.
