I have a red cabbage recipe that requires soaking chopped cabbage in cold water before cooking, to preserve the red color in the cooked dish. The water turns a bright blue that is gorgeous. Maybe this blue water can be used to color buns. I don’t know if cooking would wreck the blue. Just an idea. Loved your bun article!
