I've been using minimal plastics in the kitchen for most of my life, just like my mom. Decorative tins, glass jars with lids, etc are all reused. I happen to have Corelle dishes. The best part of having them is that the plates fit very nicely on top of their bowls! I use bowls covered with small dessert plates (or saucers) to store leftovers in the refrigerator & they're easy to stack. And I use plates to cover rising dough in large bowls. FYI, can also use dry erase markers or china markers (grease pencils) to mark leftovers on the plates (soapy water takes off grease pencil).
