I just made a cherry-almond version this afternoon. I added vanilla, almond, and cherry extracts to the dough, then mixed 2T flour into a 12 oz jar of cherry butter and spread it over the dough. I made a powdered sugar frosting with vanilla, almond, and cherry extracts and almond milk. They are outstanding. I'm eating one while I type this.
