So glad I read this. It bears repeating, particularly since some folks remain unaware: the struggle to get a fair lease or a fair loan for a business (or really, anything) as a black person in the US is very real. I truly empathize. I'm sorry your experience with your bakery wore you down, but I'm happy you found joy in baking again. Thanks for sharing your story!
