Hi there, Darlene! We haven't tried adding diastatic malt powder to this recipe, so it'd be a bit of an experiment! The diastatic malt will help with the rise of the bread as well as browning. We'd recommend adding 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of it to this recipe. Happy experimenting!
