Hi Omar, I don't have any experience washing the cling film covers, but I definitely handwash and use our Bowl Covers many, many times, so that might be a good alternative solution for you. I wouldn't go over the maximum recommended baking temperature with your silicone mat, since it might damage it, but you generally shouldn't have to grease it. You might get a slightly lighter bottom crust when using your silicone baking mat, but I don't think you overall crust will suffer, especially if you are able to add steam to your bake. One silicone mat should work for both purposes, but you may find it useful to have two, especially when you're working on multiple baking projects.
