I made my first apple pie yesterday! There are some steps I definitely will change (like chopping the apple pieces because I want a crunch and my Kitchenaid slicer sliced them too thin). But another concern is: I kept the pie in the pan and sliced it - thus scratching the pan. Is there a way to transfer the whole pie to another surface, such as a decorative stoneware pie dish or plate?
