I'm planning on making this tomorrow. I'm thinking an easier way to determine if it's done... using a gallon of cider as suggested, I'm going to measure out 2 cups of cider in the pot.. mark that level with a Chop stick & then pour the rest of cider in & start the process of reducing it until the batch is reduced down to the level of the marked chopstick.
