The Bread Machine is the poor man's Stand Mixer. Over the last 10 years I've occasionally checked Goodwill whenever Ive needed one and you can always find someone's unwanted bread machine for $5.

Then you proof your yeast in the bucket, add the dry ingredients, set it on dough, and hit start. You just need to watch at the start and add more water or flour as this article mentions. You then have a perfect dough for a bread pan or baguettes. Literally just as good as a stand mixer and only $5.
