Hi Connie! One of the most common reasons why baked a dough might turn out dry is because too much flour is used. To ensure you're using the right amount, we recommend checking out the "Recipe Success Guide," link next to the ingredients header on the recipe page. You'll see that either measuring your flour by weight using a scale, or fluffing and sprinkling the flour into your measuring cup are the best ways to ensure your recipe turns out perfectly. As long as your dough was properly hydrated it should raise some and do OK during the remainder of the steps. If we can help troubleshoot further or talk through this recipe with you, please feel free to give our friendly Baker's Hotline a call at 855-371-BAKE (2253). Kindly, Morgan@KAF
