Admittedly, I had NEVER HAD a pound cake as a child growing up, because I hated anything sweet, yes that includes candy! Then, one day, I went to pick up my infant from my friend/babysitter, she said she had just made a 7-up Pound Cake. She then invited me to join her for coffee & a slice of cake! OMG! It was/is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Stopped on the way home (with infant in tow), picked up ingredients & at home immediately made it. That was in 1977, and still making/ eating it. Got to go, oven is ready to cook 7-UP Pound Cake
