Hi there, Jeff! Yes, exactly. The recipe we tested these tips on, Chocolate Chip Cookies, calls for 2/3 cup (124 grams) of brown sugar and 2/3 cup (131 grams) of granulated sugar, so we used 1 cup of brown sugar in place of both to achieve a soft, chewy cookie. Happy baking! Morgan@KAF
