I'm having an odd problem, when I bake my chocolate chip cookie dough from the freezer we have to eat them immediately...within 30 to 60 minutes...or they will get hard. This isn't always a problem because we really like to eat the cookies when they are still warm from the oven but it does happen on occasion. This doesn't happen at all to the premade cookie dough I buy at the store and freeze. I can leave those cookies out on the counter overnight and they will still be soft in the morning.
Is there a change I should be making to my cookie recipe when I plan to freeze them? I should mention this never happens when I bake them fresh. They'll stay soft for days if I don't freeze them.
