Loved brown sugar cinnamon and if I remember correctly they offered a chocolate with chocolate filling at one point. My mother worked so I ate a lot of pop tarts. Bought them for my kids as a snack, but they weren't impressed as I bake from scratch and they like my offerings much better. I will have to try this recipe the next time they visit! Loved the link to pop art. As an art historian, it is always fun to make those connections. Do you use Crisco or a margarine for the vegetable shortening?
