I have used both, successfully; however, I prefer the KA attachments for two reasons: (a) The KA attachments sit higher off the counter, enabling me to grab the rolled/cut pasta easier (or collect it in a quarter-sheet pan) (b) Not having to deploy one hand full time to cranking, I now have that hand free to feed pasta into the top more easily. I find this avoids stretching the pasta, particularly when working with thinner settings.
