Hi, Louise. A common habit new pizza makers have is to use too much sauce; in your case it may have been enough to let all the rest of your toppings slide off. You should be able to see the dough through the sauce. A hint for shaping your dough: try turning a stainless steel bowl over and greasing the back. Put your ball of dough on top and gently push it down all around; that will help you make a round pizza crust and keep the center from getting too thin. Just turn the stretched dough over onto a piece of parchment and put your toppings on. Good luck, and let us know how round 2 goes! Susan
