I made a batch of these this evening. I usually do not even try to make candy any more but this sounded so easy. When I licked the spoon afterwards it tasted wonderful. My only change was with the spices--I didn't have any ground ginger, but did have some dried diced. I ground it in my mortar and tossed it in. I didn't get it as small as I thought, so I have flecks of ginger in it, which looks interesting. I can't wait to cut the squares tomorrow.
