Hi, Kathleen. It sounds like the crust needed more time to set before you pulled the parchment and beans out. It needs to be set (but it won't color until it's uncovered) before removing the beans. If you try again and the paper still looks like it's sticking, put the crust back in the oven (without the beans) for 5 more minutes, until the crust is cooked enough to let the paper go. Susan
