I had found a old box of my grandmother's recipes, and looking through it came acrossed a copy of Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate bars Toll house chocolate cookie recipe. Copyrighted 1936-1937-1938-1940 By Ruth Graves Wakefield. It is in a frame now in my kitchen. There is a note on the bottom that says Chocolate cuts easily at room temperture.
