These buns sound great. I haven't seen anything like them since leaving MA more than 25 years ago. I'd begun to think they'd disappeared from the grocery landscape. Hot dog note: Most commercial hot dogs come fully cooked already, therefore, they won't need to be cooked beforehand for the corn dog recipe. Check the package to be sure.
