I've made this 2x now and no success-boohoo. The first time, it didn't rise at all. Yeast was not "fast acting", so I got new yeast packets, carefully checking the expire date. Same thing as the first time. Bread was all of 1.5" tall. At $6 retail per small loaf, I want to conquer this! Hubby got me a new KitchenAid mixer for Christmas, so using it for the thick batter. Any clues? Yes, one of the things I miss being GF most is sandwich & toast.
