I've made coffee ice cream many times. The recipe I use uses a cup of coffee beans steeped in warm milk and sugar. Later I add 5 eggs to make a custard and it makes a super creamy, delicious coffee ice cream. Your recipe makes a much coffee-er and, I think, better ice cream. I added one egg whisked into the mixture (afraid to add more) to see if it would be creamier. I'll add a couple tablespoons of vodka to keep it soft. But my question is: have i made a mistake by adding the egg? (I forgot to pre-freeze the machine bowl so I can't answer my own question for several hours.)
