I have had these in Greece several times, as anything olive related you will find at almost every meal. There they are usually made with large firm green olives, I have actually seen one variety of these at Trader Joe’s called Chakidiki. They are incredible! This is a great recipe, I highly recommend it, I make this and serve with a few Greek cheeses, fresh fruit, and pretend I am eating this in the summer in Athens in the shadow of the Acropolis.
