Zoë Kanan grew up in Texas as the by-product of a Pitmaster father and vegetarian mother. She discovered baking as a familial neutral territory and her passion was born. She has been living and baking in New York City for over 10 years and has been recognized as a two-time James Beard Foundation nominee and Eater Young Gun. She loves doing pop-ups with friends and perfectly proofed croissants, and is a figure skating fangirl.
