Debra Freeman is a food anthropologist, podcaster, and writer, who has spent the past few years writing about Black foodways throughout America, but particularly in Virginia and the greater South. In short, she writes and talks about the intersection of race, culture, and food. She is also the host of Setting the Table, a podcast that explores Black foodways and culinary history.
