Greetings from freezing Cambridge Springs Pennsylvania. I have chronic pain issues in various body parts including hands and I recently purchased a Kitchenaid Mini. I love it. I can move it around with ease and rarely wish I had a larger capacity mixer. It kneads heavy breads, whips a great merengue… it really accomplishes everything I need. It weighs 16 pounds and, like you, I easily slide it on my countertop using a silicone mat or towel. I took advantage of the holiday sale and chose a classic color so it was not expensive. It has the same motor speed as the Kitchenaid Classic and all the tilt-head attachments work perfectly.
